HYDROLINE reverse osmosis system

A reverse osmosis device (RO-I, RO-S or RO-V) uses an ion-exchange process to ensure that no limescale can build up in the dishwasher. When the machine is not in use, there is always some water in the reverse osmosis system. This water is stagnant and results in an ideal breeding ground for bacteria. It is very important to rinse the machine thoroughly before restarting it in order to avoid this. To do so, run the machine through the full standard wash programme at least 5 times without wash ware. This prevents contact with unwanted bacteria.

For shorter breaks in operation, we recommend that dishwashers with upstream HYDROLINE reverse osmosis are not disconnected from the power and water supply. This means that hygienic rinsing of the membrane in the reverse osmosis system is regularly carried out.

If the reverse osmosis system is disconnected from the power and water supply for more than 30 days, the membranes should be rinsed prior to re-start. You can find the procedure in the relevant operation manual.
